Meet Carl Hartman, Houston Park's Youth Minister. Carl, a native of Illinois, is a mature individual and a dedicated student and practitioner of the Bible.
Carl's wife's name is Sarah. Sarah is a native of North Carolina and holds BS degree from San Diego State in Child and Family Development. She enjoys teaching pre-school aged children. Carl and Sarah have three children: John, Daniel, and Sarah Katheryn. Carl has served the East Walker Church of Christ (as Associate Minister), the Stutts Road Church of Christ (as Minister), and most recently the West Huntsville Church of Christ (as Youth and College Minister) before coming to Houston Park.
Carl has a proven track record as a multi-talented minister and is an effective teacher and role model to the young. He came to Houston Park with a well reasoned plan for his future growth and development.
Carl's experience is broad, having been born to a military family and having himself served 7 years in Navy, primarily based in San Diego, California. He holds many certificates and letters of commendation for outstanding service and training in the Navy. Carl is a member of the Alabama National Guard, in which he serves as an assistant chaplain. In November, 2005, Carl returned from a year's service in Iraq with the local National Guard unit.
Carl's hobbies include writing (some of his poetry has been published), and he is a 25 year student and teacher of martial sciences.
