Answer: We certainly hope so. It is regrettable that so great an evil and such a violation of human rights (viz., those of the unborn) could ever be interpreted as constitutional in this land. And yet, what is recognized as legal has never been the true standard for those who believe in the Father of spirits. The powers that be are ordained of God (Romans 13:1-7), and yet every age has witnessed a failure on the part of those powers to administer justice and fulfill the will of God. At such times, it is always the duty of God’s people to continue to be guided by his revealed will as their moral standard. We can be sure that God is the avenger of all who have been defrauded of their lives by this evil (1 Thessalonians 4:6). Let us hope and pray that the consciences of the people in this land are awakening to what abortion really is and to the savage selfishness that has ever fueled the clamor for its legalization.
