Facilities Ministry: The congregation has been blessed with a spacious and functional church building situated on lovely acreage in Houston Park. Ample parking and access is provided for worshipers, including those who are handicapped. The responsibility of caring for and maintaining this complex for the regular use of the congregation is tremendous. Stewardship of the blessing of these facilities constantly involves the diligent efforts of two ministries:
Building Ministry: This ministry is responsible for the repair and upkeep of the church building. Included in this are the supervision of the custodian and seeing that the building is secure after each service.
Grounds & Parking Ministry: This ministry is responsible for the upkeep of the grounds of the church, including lawn care. It is responsible for seeing that the church parking lot is maintained and that there is adequate parking for the future growth of the congregation. Finances Ministry: As a faithful steward of the funds which are provided by freewill offerings for the Lord's work, the Houston Park congregation seeks to operate in an honorable fashion, both in the sight of men, and in sight of God (2 Corinthians 8:21). The objective of the Finances Ministry is to establish, implement, and maintain an accounting system that will safeguard the financial assets of the church and provide for the timely payment of expenses. It is also responsible for compiling the annual budget requests and information submitted by each ministry. Back to Ministries Page
